What are the reasons for the overheating of the inverter
First check whether the air inlet and outlet of the inverter are blocked, and check whether the cooling fan (axial flow fan) is damaged. Some high-power inverters have two axial fans. If the above situation occurs, the cooling effect of the inverter will be greatly reduced. There will be a phenomenon that the inverter will stop running after running for a period of time for overheating alarm, restart after cooling for a while, and then stop after overheating.
This problem is relatively common, as long as the air duct is cleaned and the broken axial fan is replaced, the problem can be solved. Pay attention to the rated voltage of the axial flow fan. If the rated voltage is AC 380 volts and it is wrongly replaced with AC 220 volts, the axial flow fan will be burned out. On the contrary, there will be a problem that the speed of the axial flow fan is not enough.
The failure to stop running due to overheating sometimes occurs on electrical appliances with solid state relays. In order to prevent the solid state relay from overheating and burning, the trigger circuit of the solid state relay is connected to a temperature control switch. When the surrounding temperature of the solid state relay is higher than the temperature set by the temperature control switch, the temperature control switch is disconnected, and the solid state relay stops working.
Secondly, check the operating environment of the inverter. If the ambient temperature is too high, it is not conducive to the heat dissipation of the inverter, and it will automatically stop due to overheating. If the ambient temperature is too high, you can solve it by installing an electric fan. Then check the main terminal of the inverter to see if it is loose. If the terminal is loose, it is easy to heat up.
The box wall of the distribution box with the frequency converter should have cooling air vents to prevent dust from entering the distribution box. The temperature detection element, when the temperature exceeds the rated value during operation, the inverter will alarm and display the fault code and stop working. The solution is to strengthen ventilation and reduce the ambient temperature, such as installing a cooling fan.
