How do l know if a motor is VFD compatible?
First of all, we need to understand the truth that many times the quality of things is relative. Frequency converter (Variable-frequency Drive, VFD) is used as a power source to drive the motor, and its fundamental function is to regulate speed. If the wiring is normal, the parameters are reasonable, and the load is fault-free, if the motor speed can be controlled as required and the fluctuation error is less than the equipment requirements, then you can simply judge that this VFD is good.
It is difficult to quickly judge the quality of a VFD from its appearance. The easiest way to judge the quality of the VFD is to perform a power-on test. When testing, it is best to connect a motor with a power smaller than the rated power of the VFD to the output end of the VFD, so that you can know the quality of its internal software. Especially high torque at low frequency is a direct and effective method. After changing the parameters, test the VFD algorithm and modulate the VFD within 5HZ to see whether the torque of the load motor is weakened and whether the motor speed is. It is to observe whether the output waveform of the VFD is perfect, and frequently start and stop it in a short period of time to see the current and voltage peaks. These methods can test the performance of VFD software.
