Causes and solutions for soft starter OCF failure
Causes of OCF failure
Incorrect motor parameters in the motor control menu drC: If the motor parameters are not set correctly, overcurrent may occur.
Too much inertia or load: The mechanical load is too large, resulting in excessive current during motor operation.
Mechanical blocking: The state of the mechanical device is not good, resulting in obstruction of motor operation.
Short circuit of motor or motor line: Short circuit of motor or motor line will cause abnormal increase of current.
Inaccurate parameter setting: If the parameters of the inverter are not set correctly, overcurrent may also occur.
Solutions for OCF failure
Check parameter settings: Make sure the parameters in the motor control menu are set correctly.
Check the size of motor/inverter/load: Confirm whether the size of motor, inverter and load match.
Check the state of mechanical device: Make sure that the mechanical device runs smoothly and without blocking.
Connect motor reactor: If necessary, connect motor reactor to reduce current fluctuation.
Reduce switching frequency SFr: Appropriately reducing the switching frequency can reduce current shock.
Check the ground connections of the drive, motor cable and motor insulation: Make sure all electrical connections are correct and in good condition.
